The easiest way to get native plants is to buy from a local nursery. There are several around BC and further afield that can help you choose which plants will do well in your specific conditions.
Seedy Saturday events and garden club seed swaps are also an excellent place to shop for native seeds and to ask vendors for growing guidance.
We generally don’t recommend purchasing from larger seed companies as what they are often selling are “nativars” (hybridized cultivars of native plants) and not the correct species or subspecies for your region. However if it’s your only option, try and make sure you’re getting a straight species. Cultivars will have a name in quotation marks, e.g. Camassia quamash “Blue Melody”.
